ABOUT
MY BACKGROUND
I’m Anne, a Danish Retail Designer based in Aarhus with a strong passion for spatial storytelling and brand experience.

My journey began in retail, where I discovered how physical spaces can communicate identity just as powerfully as words. From styling collections to designing store layouts, I became fascinated by the balance between aesthetics and functionality — and how the right environment can shape behavior and emotion
.
After completing my education in Retail Design, I spent 3.5 years at IKEA translating design concepts into real in-store experiences. Working at the intersection of layout, customer flow, and commercial goals, I gained a deep understanding of how space influences people.

Over time, I realized that what truly motivates me is not only designing spaces — but designing experiences. The emotional layer. The atmosphere. The connection between brand and human.
Today, I’m moving further into experience-driven design, where spatial thinking, communication, and storytelling merge. I’m especially drawn to projects where concept, interaction, and meaning create lasting impressions.
This realization led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Experience Economy, where I am currently expanding my perspective on how businesses create meaning, engagement, and lasting impressions.

Outside of work, I recharge through small everyday rituals — browsing flea markets, rearranging my own space, or noticing the subtle details that make a place feel welcoming. I’m naturally drawn to environments and how they influence mood and connection — even when I’m not “on the job.”
